  1. Never wanted it to end! As someone who really loves the Beatles, I really appreciate all the work you put into this podcast. Means the world to me!

    1. same here! I could listen to this group endlessly … but rumour is that there’s a 4th hour out there!! these Beatle pundit hypocrites — don’t makes us wait 50 years for it Rodriquez!

  3. Robert,

Any chance you consider doing an in-depth program on the “American Beetles” visit to Argentina and tour of South America? Also, the Shakers Beatle look alike band from Uruguay. Both groups prompted major political unrest in Argentina and where used by both the left and right wing to censor contemporary music and the rise of the counterculture in South America.

  5. I got up to the point where you mentioned “Yoko needs a mike”. You brought up a good point that Peter Jackson seems to overlook the bits that may portray Yoko Ono in a bad light. In the book, for example, there is a bit of dialogue where Yoko states that she thought Allan Klein owned half of MGM. Page 181. How does someone believe such a big claim without being sceptical? Was it the heroin? Maybe she was a bit gullible.

Anyway, I got about 30 minutes through this episode and I couldn’t go further due to your guest that loves to swear. I was focusing more on what would be the next swear word more than his commentary…It became a guessing game – will he say “sh*t” this time or “Lay some sh*t on me” or “Lay some sh*t down”..or was it going to be “Holy sh*t”.
I gave up…but thank you anyway for your show. What I heard was at least interesting.

  7. I’m one of those who love Yoko: I hope to see her in all her glory one day when Disney releases it all… God Bless Yoko: she’s cool, brilliant, hot, sweet, ruthless, fearless, a self-professed witch, survivor and not afraid to steal cookies. What more can you ask for? I can see why John fell in love with her. God bless her. I wish Yoko had needed a Mike.

  9. At the 10.30 mark in the show your “George apologist” says Paul’s point is “bullshit” regarding how he felt about the India.

I get so tired of George fanatics constantly beating up Paul.
Paul wasn’t ripping the India experience, he actually seems to look back at it fondly but noting that maybe they weren’t being quite themselves when there, like being in school. Its George who comes off pretty snarky.

Paul: It’s that thing, you know, we probably should have just . . .

    John: Been ourselves.

Paul: Yeah, a lot more. Yeah.

George: That is the biggest joke, to be yourselves. ‘Cause that was the purpose of going there: to try and find who yourself really is.

John: Yes, well we found that, didn’t we?

George: And if you were really yourself, you wouldn’t be any of who we are now.

John: All [I’ll?] act naturally then.
