Glad you brought up the strong George Harrison influence on Big Star. I was recently listening to Living In The Material World for the first time in many years, and Don’t Make Me Wait Too Long really jumped out at me. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear they studied that song in particular. It’s almost like a template for the Big Star sound.
